We always like to hear from guests about their stays with us! Check out this review from TripAdvisor user, Ketchtwenty2, who recently spent some time at Secrets Silversands.
My wife and I stayed at Secrets Silversands for six nights. We elected to reserve a “Swim Out” Jr Suite. We ended up with room 4106 on the NE edge of the resort. This room had a partial view of the ocean. It is on the outer edge of the resort that shares a common boundary with the Azul resort. SSS was at about 60% capacity by our estimates.
First off, the “swim out” option is well worth the extra $$. You get a room with a semi-private pool. Our pool was shared by 8-10 other swim out suites. Very often, we were the only people using the pool. Secondly, you never have to play the “chair game” that is normal at most large resorts main pools, because you have two pool chairs right outside you patio door. Every morning after breakfast, my wife would spend the morning sunbathing and swimming in our “private pool. At noon, we would go to lunch at the main pool and sunbathe/swim for the remainder of the afternoon. We always got the last of the chairs at the main pool. If you go after 11:30a – noon, you WILL have a slight problem getting chairs. Large bathroom with a great shower. The bed was very comfortable.
