Helping the Community: Secrets Resorts & Spas in Montego Bay

Community outreach is very important to us at all our Secrets Resorts & Spas. We are committed to doing our part, big or small, to contribute to the success of our surrounding communities.

Recently, Secrets St. James Montego Bay and Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay did their part by lending a hand to the Catherine Hall Basic School in Montego Bay. The school was in need of a major facelift and, with the help of 48 meeting planners and more than 40 managers and employees from Secrets, it got just that.

Because the school was not financially able to support this project, the volunteer effort began. The overall beautification of the school ground included: painting of all the school walls and murals, construction of outdoor benches, repairs on several furniture items, creation of a garden and enhancements to the children’s recreation area.

“The school has been around for over 30 years and since Secrets came on board, it has been a good experience. We are very grateful to the resort; the school has really grown significantly since their involvement,” said Chairman of the Catherine Hall Basic School, Patrick Christie.

Great job Secrets St. James and Secrets Wild Orchid for helping out the local community! Keep it up!
