How early should I reserve my wedding in advance?
Weddings should be reserved at least three months in advance, but one year is preferable if you have exact dates in mind.
How early should I arrive before my wedding ceremony?
Mexico requires that you be in the country at least three full business days prior to the ceremony.

What about a wedding planner?
We have a dedicated wedding coordinator on site at Secrets Aura Cozumel and the best part? There’s no fee for use of our wedding coordinator! You can contact the wedding coordinator at: weddings.seacz@secretsresorts.com
What happens if it rains?
Don’t worry! Our main ballroom is the perfect backup plan in the event of rain! The ballroom can accommodate up to 150 guests.
What about guests not staying at the resort who wish to attend the ceremony?
Guests who chose to come only for the event will be able to purchase a day pass for an additional cost.

Durante el día de ayer, tres amigos nos acercamos a Akumal para pasar el día en sus maravillosas playas.
Caminamos un rato y decidimos tumbarnos para descansar y tomar el sol; con tan mala suerte que fuimos a sentarnos en “la primera y única playa privada de México”; la del Hotel Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya.
Debe ser que AM Resorts es una cadena con tanto poder, que se puede permitir privatizar las playas públicas en las que instala sus hoteles.
Cuando decidimos sentarnos en la arena de la playa, nos recibió un “amable” personal de seguridad, de nombre Gustavo, espetando que esa playa era privada y que no podíamos pasar de las banderas que tenían instaladas a modo de frontera.
El problema no radica tanto en la idea de no “utilizar” “su” playa, si no en las formas que empleó este personaje para dirigirse hacía nosotros.
Además de la falta de educación mostrada por el señor Gustavo a la hora de intentar expulsarnos de una playa pública, argumentando que su playa era privada, lo peor vino después, cuando de una forma despectiva y dirigiéndose a nosotros dijo:
“Pinches gachupines que no tienen dinero para pagarse un hotel bueno”.
Entiendo sabrán que significa Pinche Gachupin, si no es así paso a explicárselo
“PINCHE”, según el Diccionario del español usual en México de Luis Fernando Lara, significa 1. Que es despreciable o muy mezquino. 2. Que es de baja calidad, de bajo costo o muy pobre, mientras que “GACHUPIN” es la formar despectiva que tienen los mexicanos de referirse a los españoles.
Me resulta curioso, como una cadena como AM Resorts selecciona a su personal, que prejuzga y discrimina a personas por su posible condición económica y lo que es peor aún, por su raza, algo que va en contra de la Declaración sobre los derechos humanos de las Naciones Unidas.
