Romantic decorations for a dream anniversary getaway at Secrets Playa Mujeres!

Before their arrival, the resort’s Chief Concierge noted that two guests, Mr. & Mrs. B., who she had previously met at Secrets the Vine and Secrets Akumal, were coming to Secrets Playa Mujeres for the first time.  The main purpose of their trip was to celebrate their 24^th wedding anniversary, and since they are a loyal Secrets Resorts & Spas guests, the resort decided to create a very memorable stay for them.

The story begins at check-in, where Musmé (the Chief Concierge) was waiting for them.  They were shocked and very happy to see her again! Immediately after check-in, the couple was escorted to a golf cart decorated for their 24^th wedding anniversary. Their room was specially decorated as well with a message on the bed that read, “Happy 24th Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. B.” made out of rose petals, as well as a flower arrangement made out of red roses, each over 3 ft. tall, in the shape of a “24.”  When Mr. and Mrs. B. entered their suite and saw this wonderful surprise, their words to express their joy were “WOW! We never imagined that something like this could happen, no one has ever received us this way.”

The Bishops had previously booked spa services, so the staff took this opportunity to make it an even more memorable experience there as well! Their cabin was romantically decorated, with LED candles forming the number 24 on the floor and all amenities including a “Happy Anniversary” message on them.

Personalization and attention to detail are important to the staff at Secrets Playa Mujeres!

On their last night, the resort’s chefs prepared a 6-course dinner, with their favorite foods, (which had been noted during their stay).  The staff also had a very special setup for the dinner, which took place in the wedding gazebo where the couple watched a video of photos from their stay with the moon as their backdrop.  They recorded the slide show, took many photos together, and were very appreciative to the attention to detail the staff showed during their stay.  The couple said their experience at Secrets Playa Mujeres far surpassed their expectations, and that when they return to the Caribbean, they will have no doubts with their resort choice.
