Since their arrival, Mary Jo and her daughter Francine spoke with the concierge Osiris about how last year they had stayed at Secrets Capri and this year decided to come to Secrets Maroma to celebrate Mary Jo’s birthday. The ladies also mentioned they had brought board games and a puzzle to put together and that in the evenings they enjoyed drinking wine while playing some games.

Osiris then started coordinating a surprise with Mary Jo’s daughter just a week shy of her actual birthday. The concierge, who also happens to love puzzles, told Francine about all of the things she wanted to do, including how she wanted to print a photo of Mary Jo and create a puzzle with the image. Francine loved the ideas!

Special surprises from the Secrets Maroma Beach staff!

Francine and her mom wanted to spend the day on a Bali bed and the beach concierge staff made sure one was reserved for the mother-daughter duo and was decorated to celebrate! Francine brought her mother towards the beach area for the surprise and soon after, resort staff visited the Bali bed with a birthday cake, the puzzle with her photo and a sunflower as they sang “Happy Birthday.” Mary Jo was moved to tears from the wonderful surprise!

Later that day, Osiris decorated their room and placed a few little gifts on their table. Also as part of the celebration, Osiris brought them a bottle of one of their favorite wines as well as a board of assorted cheeses to enjoy before dinner. Mary Jo didn’t know how to thank the staff enough for everything they did to make her stay so special. When they departed, they left a lovely letter for Osiris mentioning how grateful they both were to her and the entire staff! Many kudos to the Secrets Maroma Beach team for organizing a wonderful WOW surprise!
