When Mr. B was a child, his grandmother, who worked long hours as a housekeeper, taught him that the job was not easy. Now, he truly appreciated the value of the effort that the resort’s team members made to clean the couple’s room on property. So, the couple decided to share their daily experiences with their housekeeper, recounting their adventures on small notes in Spanish.

Their housekeeper, Yerlin, decided to thank the couple and share a special moment with them to allow them to experience the things that make Costa Rica unique, along with its signature flavors and spectacular views! With the support of the entire Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica team, Yerlin organized an adventure that led the couple around the resort, following cultural clues.

Guests had a special surprise waiting for them on the beach at Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica.

Mr. and Mrs. B arrived on the beach where they found a bottle with a piece of parchment paper inside explaining why Costa Rica’s volcanic beaches have their color tone. They also found a native drink in the sand where the phrase “Pura Vida,” which represents the way Costa Ricans live their lives, was also drawn. Yerlin waited for the couple to finish their journey and greeted them at the end of the path, which provided a spectacular view of the Papagayo Gulf, to enjoy a special toast! But, the adventure did not end there. When the guests returned to their room, they found that Yerlin also had decorated it to showcase the flavor of delicious Costa Rican coffee!
