An amateur foodie, there’s nothing I love more than trying new restaurants with my friends and family. Who doesn’t love good company and great food? But while I find almost everything to be delicious, I just can’t help myself around sweet treats! And the only thing bigger than my sweet tooth is my appetite for travel!

I wanted the opportunity to fully immerse myself in another culture so I packed my bags and headed to Ireland. While visiting the many sites of the beautiful country, I fell head over heels for travel. Lo and behold, a few years later I found myself working in the tourism industry!

  14. My fiance and I are HUGE fans of Secrets! We stayed at Secrets Capri in 2008 and absolutely fell in love with it! We are getting married at Secrets Wild Orchid this October!! So we are bringing with us at least 25 people! Ray is such a SUPER fan of Secrets, I literally don’t think a day goes by that he is either checki…ng the Secrets website, facebook page or telling someone he knows or doesn’t know how awesome Secrets is! I tell him all the time he should work for the company, he is truly the best advertisement you have!

    We are big Fans! We booked our Honeymoon at the new resort in Jamaica- My sister went to Secrets in Mexico last year for her Honeymoon and had nothing but great things to say!! Our Honeymoon is Sept 7th until th 15th… our Wedding Day is Sept. 4th! So excited… would love to add a few free nights onto our already wonderful trip!!

  31. I have just booked my wedding for December at Secrets St. James. We are so excited and can’t wait to get there. There is no doubt that all of our guests will enjoy it as well. We are definitely going to get a PC suite! It’s our wedding we are taking full advantage of the “unlimited luxury”!

  45. We were VERY fortunate to start vacationing with the Secrets Resorts a few years ago and we won’t go anywhere else! We started at Excellence-Riviera Maya, on to Capri, and last year to Maroma Beach. While looking for something for this year, we’ve discovered that the resorts in Jamaica will be completed and available this year — in time for our 35th anniversary. What could be better? We couldn’t afford anything more than two nights in 100+ heat of St. Louis in ’75. After years of raising children and working hard, we’re ready to treat ourselves once in awhile. Looking forward to our “No Problem, Mon” vacation in August. Thanks for another great choice ……

  62. I have been a fan of Secrets resorts for quite a long time! First time was a visit to Secrets Capri, then a wonderful time at Secrets Maroma! I have been to Jamaica once but didn’t enjoy the resort we stayed at and said I’ll only go back if there’s a Secrets there!! Sure enough, now there’s two!! Haven’t booked yet because my next vacation is actually at Secrets sister resort, Dreams Riviera Cancun and Spa (one of my best friend’s is getting married there!) Can’t wait!

This is my husband and I’s first real trip by ourselves (didn’t have a honeymoon because of new jobs and then kids…. that same old story), and we’ve been married 23 years!   69. I’m a fan of yours from when our friends we’re in the area the beginning of this year.

    Would love to win the 3 day get a away or the free vacation.

    My husband and I went on a weeks vacations this last winter and loved it. First time away from the kids for a whole week. Now we are ready to go again if it wouldn’t be sooo expensive.

  74. My stay at Wild Orchid in Montego Bay was amazing. beyond my dreams. Certainly the best all inclusive luxury resort I’ve visited. The spa – world class relaxing, the gym – loved it (my abs did), the food – delightful, the room (Can I take it home- the bed is divine), the customer service – Billy Love in Jamaica remembered my name (A+), I could go on and on and on.

    Visit this resort, you will not forget your trip.

    It is true, Welcome Home.

  77. Am a fan of the Secrets brand…having stayed at Secrets Capri (August, 2004) and Secrets Excellence (June, 2005)!
    Wanted to vacation in Jamaica in 2010 and when I learned that a new Secrets would be opening there..it was a no brainer! Have visited Secrets MoBay twice already (July and November, 2010) and planning a third visit in May, 1011. Have now stayed in Wild Orchid and Saint James..absolutely love this resort..gorgeous, with breathtaking views..but it is the staff…that truly gives this resort its personality. They are outstanding! Keep up the great work!

  78. My fiance and I have booked with Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana for our wedding this December. We are hoping to come and visit sometime in April to meet everyone at the resort. We are looking forward to our very special day and have heard that Secrets resorts care very much about the details.

  79. My girlfriend Missy and I are heading to Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana in 3 weeks for 10 days of total relaxation! Can not wait to get in the air and on our way.
    We did 10 days at Zoetry in the Rivera last year and loved it, but beach was not accessible, so were very excited for the sand.

    Any advice, tips etc. from anyone that has stayed at Royal Beach Punta Cana since the change over this past may 2011?

  87. Me & my husband have not been on vacation since our daughter was born back in 2005. His job gave us the opportunity to go to Secrets Capri Cancun and had an absolute blast!!!!! The people were very nice, the food was wonderful, and the pool fabulous. We were sent with about 5 other couples and everyone just got along really well. I am back home and now I am trying to get the recipe for a drink that me and my husband liked a lot and was wondering if anyone knows how to make this drink or where to get the recipe for a frozen Sexy Frog? Thanks for any help(smile).

    We will travel to Secrets in a week. Our first time. Can anyone advise whether it is easy to travel to Oaxaca – or are there organized trips from Secrets Huatulco?   93. We were at Secrets St. James for a week leading into Easter. We REALLY enjoyed the resort, the beach, the staff and the various food and drinks. We had delicious French martinis at the Piano Bar. Could you please post the recipe for it?

  95. Secrets Golf & Spa resort is fabulous. Staff are professional and very friendly. The food is pretty good. The accomidations are amazing. Lots of live entertainment. the only negative i would share is the “pub crawl” I found it to be very dissappointing. The host/hostess was very unorganized and had their own personal agendas.

  98. First and foremost shame on the Secrets Hotel Chain for advertising this Hotel as being opened and operational for the dates we were there in November. One would think that as many Hotels that The Secrets brand opens on a yearly basis that there would not be this many problems such as the ones I will be writing about.
    Upon Arrival we instantly noticed that there were numerous people in the lobby complaining and we immediately knew that we had made a mistake. Not only were they complaining but some were calling for transportation to take them elsewhere.
    As per the request of Concierge Jose we were told that we were immediately being taken to the preferred club guest services for our room assignment. How did he know that we had paid for the preferred club when he didn’t even know our names as of yet.
    He did that intentionally to try and get some of the new arrivals away from the people in the main lobby who were livid. And by the way, there is not really a preferred club of any kind. Our room was supposed to be preferred club, but so was the rooms looking over the swamp..
    Once we arrived at the preferred club area we were offered drinks and a few snacks very promptly. We sat for about an hour in the preferred area and noticed that no one was being taken to their rooms and immediately realized we were about to encounter more problems. All of a sudden this lady stands up and goes to screaming at the top of her lungs that she had been sitting there for over 3 hours and wanted her room now or she was leaving. They immediately took her outside to try and calm her but it was to no avail. After 30-45 minutes she called for a taxi and left…
    As for ourselves, we sat there over 5 hours and was not assisted in any manner what so ever. We finally called our travel agent to try and get some answers. We quickly encountered another customer that had been sitting there for 8 hours waiting on her room. After 5.5 hours we were told that our room was finally ready.
    Upon our walk to the room we quickly noticed that the grounds were in horrible shape and not finished. The landscaping was spotty and not completed in over 75% of the property. There were thousands upon thousands of feet of sprinkler pipes visible everywhere, no mulch, muddy areas and open sewage pipes where the smell was horrendous.
    We were also told that construction was complete and there were no construction workers on site. I witnessed probably 150 construction workers on a daily basis being dumped out at the site. Everything from Drilling, Nailing, Plumbing, Painting and you name it, It was going on. It was loud noisy and not really that clean. Some patrons were taken to rooms that was not completed and didn’t even have toilets installed. Some rooms did not have the walls to the bath rooms completed.
    Once we were in the room we immediately noticed that the room was really large but not completed. There were quiet a few problems with the room, the television did not work and was not fixed until the 3rd day, the hot water did not work in one of the shower heads and there were no privacy curtains between the suites on the balcony. The people next door could look at you while you were in your hot tub…No Privacy What so ever, then you had to worry about the constructions workers looking off the opposing balconies into your room. We had no Liquor in our rooms as promised and it was like pulling teeth to even get an airplane bottle brought to the room.
    Speaking of construction workers, On two separate occasions I had the workers ask me for money because I was a rich American, one asked me for a joint and I had to threaten to kill one for saying something sexual to my wife. But remember this was not supposed to be an active construction site. We even spoke to a couple that walked into their room after lunch and there was a construction worker having sex with the maid on their bed.
    The restaurants was a different story, Only a few of the restaurants was open on a nightly basis and you normally had at least an hour if not more wait. They told us that the resort was at only 40% capacity and the restaurants had an hour or two wait. I cannot imagine the chaos when the resort is near capacity. Watched numerous people walk out due to not getting waited on or their food never arriving. And for the food, on a scale of 1-10 it was maybe a 3. It was so bad and disorganized, we resorted to eating at the buffet…The drinks were watered down and very generic. I had to make and almost have to complain to get a drink made with a premium liquor. I physically watched the bartenders put the Grey Goose behind the bar intentionally..
    I honestly think that the Resort will be off the chain once it is completed, but there were too many problems that week for the new staff to contend with . When you have your personal Concierge and assistant manager telling you personally that the Resort should have never been opened, Houston you have a problem. I asked for a return trip when the Resort was fully functional and operational in lieu of all of the problems we encountered. I had three different people tell me different stories or lies. I was told that the resort itself could not make that call. Then I stood and watched numerous numerous people schedule a return trip on the spot for their inconvenience.
    We have been waiting over 30 days now for a response from corporate but it is to no avail so far.This was my first trip to a secrets resort and probably the last if we are not compensated..
    Thanks for ruining out 30th Anniversary trip Secrets……

  99. We have been to Secrets Capri and Secrets Isla Mujeres every year since 2011 when we got married. Both resorts have been excellent in service, food and the beach itself. I can’t say enough about this place, they have made it difficult for us to even try anywhere else because it really was just that good. I love the waiters we have had at the beach each year and they made us feel like they knew us and really took care of our needs.

    people smoking everywhere & putting them out on the ground anywhere, plus running out of liquor refreshments at dusk 2/2/19
