Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web, and we’re using this emerging social network to showcase our beautiful resorts. We’re excited to be a part of a growing travel community in this visually-stimulating social space. If you’re not familiar with the site, take a look at this glimpse of our profile below to give you an idea of its’ layout:

As you can see above, we have a pinboard for each of our resorts as well as boards that represent the locations and cultures our guests experience while staying with us. Pinterest works by aggregating photos that have been pinned by users into several categories like ‘beauty & health’, ‘weddings & events’, ‘travel & places’, etc. You can use Pinterest to follow users who pin content that inspires you, and also use your own pinboards to save great photos, articles and ideas you find while surfing the web. Photos of Secrets Silversands From a Recent Guest

As we’ve said before, we are very interested in what our guests have to say about the time they spent with us at Secrets Resorts & Spas. In fact, we’ve even created an email (secretresortsblog@gmail.com) for guests to send us photos and stories about their stay with us. We’ll be featuring these pictures and stories on our blog from time to time to give guests an even deeper look into our resorts.

Recent visitors, Greg and Megan from Denver, Colorado submitted these photos below of Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun along with this caption:

“Secrets Silversands is an absolutely great place and we’d happily stay at that resort or any of the other Secrets Resorts & Spas again… wonderful people, great facilities.. loved it!”

Inside Look: Silversands Fish Market

Guests at Secrets Silversands are treated to quite the unique treat—a fish market that gives guests a preview of what will be on the menu in the evening. Each morning, fishing boats arrive on the beach of Secrets Silversands to deliver the catches of the day to the resort’s waiting chefs.

The food and beverage staff now welcomes guests to take part in the daily ritual each Wednesday. The resort’s chefs identify the fish for guests and even let them pose for pictures with some of the really impressive catches. It is a great way for guests to see first hand, what’s for dinner.
