The third week of January kicked off the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival just outside of Montego Bay. The 2012 festival honored 50 years of independence for the people of Jamaica including performances from the biggest names on the world’s stage including: Celine Dion, Cee-Lo Green, Kelly Rowland and Shaggy.
The three night festival is growing in popularity and draws over 40,000 people and being such an acclaimed music event, celebrities are attracted to the Montego Bay area during the Festival. We were thrilled to host award-winning performers Ne-Yo, Adrienne Bailon and Keri Hilson to our very own Secrets St. James and Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay.
During the celebrities’ Unlimited-Luxury® stay with us they hosted an invitation-only VIP beach cocktail party on-site, at which Ne-Yo sipped on Grey Goose and Baileys and thanked everyone for making him feel so welcome in Jamaica. The beach party also celebrated the launch of Ne-Yo’s album Compound Island, the Caribbean leg of his record label Compound Entertainment.
During the guest’s time in Jamaica they hung out with fellow recording artist, Shaggy and actor Rockmond Dunbar.
The celebrity guests attended the Movie Premier of Red Tails at the Palace Cineplex in Montego Bay, a movie by renowned producer George Lucas, which boasts an impressive cast including Cuba Gooding Jr and Ne-Yo.
