LatinFlyer.com Reviews Secrets the Vine

Secrets The Vine Cancun recently had the pleasure of hosting travel writer Mark Chestnut, founder of LatinFlyer.com, a blog dedicated to travel in South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Mark described his stay in a recent post “Secrets The Vine — All-Inclusive Luxury for Adults in Cancun” and we’ve pulled some of our favorite quotes to share with you!

Mark begins by saying of his trip to Secrets The Vine: “It ended up being one of the best Cancun hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had. We liked it so much that I felt compelled to put together a list of the things that this hotel does right:

• The Design: Stylish and contemporary, but tasteful and subdued.
• The Greeting: The people in the lobby knew my name the minute I walked in the door.
• The Dining: Elegant, attractive, a-la-carte restaurants that serve fine cuisine — all included, and no reservations required.
• The Wristbands: Or rather, the lack thereof. Unlike most all-inclusive resorts, Secrets The Vine doesn’t require guests to wear wristbands, so there’s no uncomfortable plastic thing clinging to your wrist.”

He also found that Secrets The Vine is the perfect place for wine aficionados: “Secrets The Vine takes its wine-inspired name seriously. The hotel’s wine cellar has some 4,500 bottles, and daily wine tastings allow guests to learn more about wine from Mexico and other countries — including Argentina, Chile, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Australia, to name just a few.”

Mark enjoyed sampling our various culinary options: “One of our most elegant dinners at Secrets The Vine was at Bluewater Grill, where we savored expertly prepared steak; we also loved the flavors of Japan, China and Thailand that were served on the sophisticated menu at Dragons. I especially enjoyed the Thai chicken soup, made with coconut milk, lemon and cilantro, and the Mongolian pork with broccoli and water chestnuts.”

And there was no trouble finding the perfect place to spend the day: “There are three large infinity pools at Secrets The Vine, making it easy to enjoy quiet time or a more festive ambiance, depending on your mood. The beach is beautiful and well-equipped with lounge chairs and umbrellas. After dark, you can watch a game in the sports bar, or sample cocktails at the Red Vine Piano Bar, an elegant venue where dancing isn’t uncommon later at night.”

Blogger Review: Secrets the Vine

We love to hear about guest experiences at Secrets Resorts & Spas! In a recent blog post, Jetsetter Gypsya popular travel and fashion blogger, shared her vacation at one of our newest resorts, Secrets the Vine in Cancun.

Here is a quick excerpt from her review:

My first impression upon arrival at Secrets The Vine was Wow!, this place is grand, chic, modern and more or less just like a W Hotel, so needless to say, just up my alley…

The attention to detail at Secrets The Vine was probably the hands down top quality of the resort.  This attention shined through in every aspect, from the impeccably decorated common areas that were elegant yet minimalistic, using all top quality exotic raw materials, fully equipped with a cozy fireplace wall that I could only imagine in the type of home you’d see on MTV Cribs, the wide marble hallways with ambient lighting, and the simple, clean lines of the guest rooms.  All the while, everything was perfectly maintained and new…yes, I did happen to be staying there over their official inauguration, but it was more the attention to detail that existed in their tremendous staff that was responsible for keeping this property in pristine condition.

Blogger Review of Secrets Capri

We love to hear what guests have to say about their vacations to Secrets Resorts & Spas. In a recent post, blogger, Peridot Skys, spoke about one of her favorite vacations, which just so happened to be an 8-day trip to Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun.

Here’s an excerpt from her blog:

The BF and I have taken many trips together. Generally, ok always to a beach!  But there is one particular vaction we always talk about.  It was our trip to Playa Del Carmen. We spent 8 days at Secrets Capri Riviera on the beautiful beach and only left the resort once. We actually only left the pool for the ocean once as well. It was spectacular. It was all inclusive and adults only. No kids splashing in the pool or screaming at their siblings. We spent the day traveling to arrive, and we were greeted with cool wash rags and champagne to complete our registration. Our room was ground level and we could walk right out to the pool no more than 50 feet away. This is my view from my patio.

This is the pool early in the morning as you cross over the arched bridge over the water. I crossed this bridge every morning to reserve our chairs.
