Make it at Home: Havanna Lights

If you are looking for a way to beat the heat this summer, we have the perfect drink recipe for you! Havanna Lights is one of the most popular cocktails at Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun. This fruity and refreshing cocktail is a perfect treat to cool off on a warm summer day. Just one sip of this tropical cocktail and it immediately feels like you’re in paradise. Here’s the recipe:  

Ingredients:

  • ¾ oz of light rum 
  • ¾ oz of coconut rum
  • ¾ cup of pineapple juice
  • A few drops of grenadine syrup
  • ½ oz of Melon liquor

Directions:

  • Shake together the light rum, coconut rum and pineapple juice.
  • Pour the mixture into a cocktail glass.
  • Add a few drops of grenadine into the glass carefully so it drops to the bottom.
  • Top the drink with the melon liquor.
  • Garnish with a pineapple crown leaf and enjoy!

Make it at Home: Dirty Monkey

One of the most popular drinks at Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun is our Dirty Monkey. Whether you are relaxing by the pool, lying on the beach or enjoying cocktails before dinner, it’s the perfect drink to set the mood for your vacation.

For those of you who’d like to re-create a piece of your vacation at home, here’s our recipe for the Dirty Monkey! 

Ingredients:

1 oz. of rum
½ oz. of coffee liquor (Kalhua)
1 oz. of coconut cream
2 oz. of pineapple juice
¼ of a fresh banana

Directions:

Blend all ingredients together with a cup of ice for 30 seconds. Decorate the glass with chocolate syrup and enjoy!

One of the favorite drinks among our guests at Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun is the Roadrunner. It’s a refreshing cocktail that contains the perfect blend of fruity and creamy ingredients. Just one sip of this tropical cocktail and it immediately feels like you’re in paradise. Here’s the recipe for those of you who want to recapture your vacation by whipping up some Roadrunners at home!

Ingredients:
1 oz Rum
1 dash Grenadine
2.5 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Coconut Cream
Ice

Directions: Pour all ingredients into a blender and mix at high speed. Pour drink into a glass and garnish with a pineapple.
